"I think it's one of the devil's great tricks," Vance said, describing UFO phenomena as demonic deception rather than extraterrestrial contact. He said he plans to "get to the bottom of it."
This is the Vice President of the United States — a heartbeat from the presidency, during an active war — announcing on a podcast that he believes the devil is tricking people with fake aliens.
Vance is also a convert to Catholicism, a faith that maintains the Vatican Observatory and has a long tradition of compatibility between faith and scientific inquiry.
