Convicted Sex Trafficker Maxwell Moved to "Club Fed" — One Week After Exonerating Trump

One week after telling Trump's former lawyer that Trump was "never inappropriate," Maxwell was transferred to a minimum-security "Club Fed" with no fences or guard towers. Former BOP officials called it "unprecedented" and "totally inappropriate" for a sex offender. Victims: "This smacks of a cover-up."

Approximately one week after her two-day interview exonerating Trump, Ghislaine Maxwell was quietly transferred from FCI Tallahassee (low-security) to Federal Prison Camp Bryan, Texas — a minimum-security facility known as "Club Fed."

FPC Bryan has no bars, no guard towers, no fences, and no constant surveillance. It resembles a college campus with dormitory-style housing. Other inmates include Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. It is the lowest security classification in the federal prison system.

The transfer was highly irregular:

  • Former BOP Assistant Director Judi Garrett called it "highly unusual" and "very rare" for sex offenders
  • Another former BOP official called it "unprecedented" and "totally inappropriate"
  • BOP policy requires sex offenders to be placed at minimum low-security — the transfer appeared to violate this standard
  • Victims were not notified
  • No explanation was given for months. Deputy AG Blanche later claimed "numerous threats against her life"

Epstein victims Annie Farmer, Maria Farmer, and Virginia Giuffre's family issued a joint statement:

"It is with horror and outrage that we object to the preferential treatment convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell has received. Without any notification to the victims, the government overnight has moved Maxwell to a minimum security luxury prison. This move smacks of a cover-up. The victims deserve better."

The sequence: Trump's former personal defense attorney interviews a convicted sex trafficker. She says Trump did nothing wrong. Days later, she's moved to a campus with no fences. Victims call it a cover-up. The administration says it was for her safety.
