Trump's Former Lawyer Interviewed Maxwell — She Exonerated Trump, Got Transferred to "Club Fed" Days Later

Deputy AG Todd Blanche — Trump's former personal defense attorney — personally interviewed convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell for two days. She said Trump was "never inappropriate." Days later, she was moved to a minimum-security "Club Fed." Victims called it "a cover-up."

On July 24-25, 2025, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche — who had previously served as Trump's personal criminal defense lawyer — personally interviewed convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell over two days at a federal courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida. She was granted immunity before the interview.

What Maxwell told Trump's former lawyer:

  • On Trump: "I actually never saw the President in any type of massage setting. I never witnessed the President in any inappropriate setting in any way. The President was always very cordial and very kind to me."
  • On a "client list": "Absolutely no. There is no list. There is no, I'm not aware of any blackmail."
  • On high-profile associates: Claimed no high-profile Epstein associates committed illicit acts

The conflict of interest was extraordinary: the president's former personal defense attorney conducted a two-day interview with a convicted sex trafficker who then provided statements exonerating the president. ABC News confirmed Maxwell "provided no incriminating information on high-profile individuals."

When asked about a possible Maxwell pardon, Trump said: "It's something I haven't thought about. It's really something... I'm allowed to do it, but it's something I have not thought about."

The transcripts — 329 pages total — were released on August 22, 2025. The Senate Judiciary Committee raised concerns about the meetings within days.
