Gabbard Revoked Clearances of Dozens of Officials, Exposed CIA Officer
DNI Tulsi Gabbard revoked security clearances of Biden, Harris, Clinton, and dozens of former officials on a political enemies list. She also disclosed the name of an undercover CIA officer, alarming the intelligence community.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard revoked the security clearances of former President Biden, Vice President Harris, Secretary Clinton, and dozens of other former officials — including the 51 signers of the Hunter Biden laptop letter, prosecutors Alvin Bragg and Andrew Weissman, and former national security officials Blinken and Sullivan.
The justification memo accused targets of "politicization or weaponization of intelligence" but provided no evidence. In August 2025, she revoked clearances of 37 additional officials.
In one particularly alarming incident, Gabbard disclosed the name of an undercover CIA officer on a list of people stripped of clearances — an act that endangered the officer and their contacts, and sent shockwaves through the CIA workforce. The disclosure created tensions with CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Rather than depoliticizing intelligence as claimed, Gabbard was weaponizing it against the president's perceived enemies — using classification authority as a tool for political retribution, the very thing she accused her targets of doing.
